It requires the increase of the production of chickpeas, to replace imports, varieties and seeds of national production. It is essential to increase the production of pork to recover production levels from the national production of food, employment of Palmiche (product of the Royal Palm of Cuba), and others.
Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, in the recent annual balance meeting of the Ministry of Agriculture referred to the improvement of the collection system (Acopio) and the role that this entity has to play in collecting as much production as possible. With this, he said, intermediaries and speculation are avoided.
